When two different jobs share one name

The report writes itself.

Two things get sold under the same heading. One assembles a monthly report out of numbers that already exist, which used to take somebody most of a day. The other publishes pages a machine wrote so a website looks busy.

We do the first one. We will not do the second, for you or for us.

What gets built

Where a machine earns its place.

On the jobs that are the same every time, where the facts already exist somewhere and somebody is copying them by hand.

01

The month, on one page

Calls, enquiries, where they came from and what changed since last month, pulled from the accounts that already hold those numbers. One page, five minutes to read, and it arrives whether or not the news is good.

02

The first draft of repetitive writing

A job write-up from the notes and photos already on the phone. A listing update. A product description that follows the same shape as four hundred others. A person edits every one before it goes anywhere.

03

The watching nobody keeps up

A note when a review lands, when a competitor changes their prices, when a page stops being filed by Google. Small alerts on the things that only matter if you find out in the same week.

Nothing is published that a person has not read. A draft is where the machine stops.
The report shows the bad months too. A report you can only use when the numbers are good is not a report.

Where it stops

Not a word in your name.

Anything a customer reads as your opinion, your advice or your promise stays written by a person. That is not a preference. Sites filled with machine-written pages are being removed from search results, and we sell being found, so the two cannot sit in the same business.

We hold ourselves to it in public. Our own notes page has been empty since launch rather than filled with articles written to have something there. Writing that does need to earn a stranger’s attention is content marketing, and it is done by hand.

The numbers this reports on come from the systems already joined up, and the questions it drafts answers to are often the ones asked before anyone enquires. It runs the same for a business in Sydney as anywhere else, inside the automation work.

Where to start

Find out what the reporting hides.

Give us your web address and whatever report you currently get. We tell you which numbers in it describe your business and which describe the internet, because most agency reports are mostly the second kind and read better for it.

We take on a small number of businesses at a time, and only when we are confident we can move the numbers. If we can take it on, you get a written plan: what we’d build and in what order. If we can’t, you get a short, straight email saying so.What we charge sits on its own page, in writing.

Free. A person reads it and answers within a couple of days.
