When the enquiry lands at six on a Friday

Every enquiry gets answered.

A form comes in on Friday evening. You see it Monday, ring back Tuesday, and they’ve booked someone else. Nothing was wrong with the marketing. It was a Friday, and you were on a job.

The work you lost this month was probably work that had already found you.

02 / 05  ·  What gets built

What gets built

It runs without you.

Small pieces of software doing the jobs you would do yourself, if you had the time and never once forgot.

01

The reply that goes out in a minute

An enquiry arrives at any hour and gets a real answer straight away: what happens next, when you’ll call, what to have ready when you do. The customer stops shopping around, because someone has already picked up.

02

The chase nobody has to send

Quotes that have gone quiet get followed up. Bookings get a reminder the day before, so fewer people forget you are coming. Reviews get asked for the day the job finishes, which is the only day anyone actually leaves one.

03

The typing that eats your evenings

The same job details keyed into two systems. Invoices copied across by hand. Photos filed by address on a Sunday night. We connect the tools you already pay for so the typing stops happening.

A person still does the work. This handles the waiting, the chasing and the typing. It never handles the conversation, and it never pretends to be you.
You own it. Every account and every login is in your name, and it keeps running if we stop.

The parts of it

Three pages under this one.

They tend to get built in this order, because each one leaves the next something to work with. Almost nobody needs all three at once.

01

Workflow & CRM

The quote, the job and the invoice entered once instead of three times. This is the one that gives an evening back, and it is the one owners notice first.

02

Chatbots

The three questions everybody asks before they enquire. Most business chatbots are bad, and that page sets out why the useful ones stay narrow.

03

Reporting & content

The monthly report assembled out of numbers that already exist, and the line we will not cross about what a machine is allowed to write.

04 / 05  ·  Whether it fits

Whether this is you

Only if the phone rings.

This suits a business that already gets enquiries and quietly knows some of them go cold. Work arrives while you are up a ladder, in a chair or on site, then gets dealt with whenever you next sit down. If that is your week, this pays for itself before any other work on this site does.

It suits you less if the phone barely rings. Automating an empty inbox changes nothing, so the honest first move is getting found and we will tell you that rather than build you something clever.

It rarely matters what you run on. Most of this connects to the calendar, the inbox and the job software already on your phone. See the other kinds of work if this one is not your problem.

Distance makes no difference to the automation itself, though the search work around it is local, which is why there are pages for Brisbane and Perth. How we charge depends on how much of this you already have running.

Where to start

Find out what’s leaking.

Give us your web address and how to reach you. We go through the site properly, work out where an enquiry ends up once someone sends one, and tell you in plain words what is falling through and what it is worth to catch.

We take on a small number of businesses at a time, and only when we are confident we can move the numbers. If we can take it on, you get a written plan: what we’d build and in what order. If we can’t, you get a short, straight email saying so.

Free. A person reads it and answers within a couple of days.
